Letting Go of Fear

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because
He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

This verse reminds us that God doesn’t want us to carry our burdens alone. It’s an invitation to place everything—our worries, fears, and even our dreams—in His capable hands. Surrendering our lives to God doesn’t mean we simply ask Him to fix our problems; it means letting Him guide every part of who we are. When we cling to our fears or try to control outcomes, we often feel drained and weighed down. But when we release these things to God, trusting Him to direct our path, we find freedom from anxiety and the strength to face challenges we once thought insurmountable.

I struggled with intense stage fright for years, which filled me with dread every time I had to perform as a musician or later teach a class. I would be overwhelmed with nerves, working myself into a frenzy at the thought of stepping into the spotlight. But one day, I decided to let God have my fear. I prayed for peace, and gradually, He transformed my anxiety into confidence. With His strength, I went from being paralyzed by stage fright to speaking and teaching with ease, even in large halls.

If you’re facing a fear that feels overwhelming, bring it to God. Allow Him to fill you with His peace and strength, and trust that He will carry you through. Pray for His guidance, surrendering every worry, and experience the freedom that comes with knowing He is in control.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord, I bring my fears and anxieties to You today, knowing You are greater than anything I face. Help me surrender each worry, trusting that You will guide and strengthen me. Fill me with Your peace and lead me to a place of confidence and calm in Your presence. Amen.
